Who are we?
Studio larum is a Polish design studio combining modernist design with craftsmanship and ecological production
We have our own production workshop, which allows us to carry out projects from the conceptual stage, through sketches and designs, to mass production or making unique pieces. We make sure that our designs are not only aesthetically pleasing, but also functional and safe. We work with experienced craftsmen and specialists to help us realize our projects.
Form and light
“Mime” is a project where its form, confrontation of materials and color palette determines what we just call design. In any lamp, for its functionality, the work of light is crucial. In the case of our lamp, we have achieved a very balanced transparency and softness of the beam thanks to the milky polycarbonate used for the shade of the appropriate thickness.
A solid foundation – craftsmanship in every detail
The cuboid, which is the base of the lamp, is an eco-friendly, recycled chip monolith. In other words, its base is ground wooden waste mixed with properly selected filling, guaranteeing hardness and flexibility of the material, as well as maximized inertness to the environment. The surface of the solid is finished with a spray-applied classic High Gloss Solid varnish, which gives incredible depth and intensity to all the colors we offer.
